Groups Worldview Assessment
The Arizona Christian University Worldview Assessment was designed by the Arizona Christian University Cultural Research Center Director of Research, Dr. George Barna, based on more than 40 years of research, including 30 years creating and conducting worldview surveys (see Dr. Barna’s biographical information here). The Arizona Christian University Worldview Assessment will help to evaluate the strengths and areas for worldview improvement in your congregation, organization, or group.
Our motivation is to provide a useful tool for pastors and leaders who have a strong commitment to increase the presence of Jesus in the lives of church members and to continue to expand knowledge and application of biblical truth.
Dr. Barna defines a biblical worldview as “thinking and acting like Jesus.” The Arizona Christian University Worldview Assessment will help individuals, churches, and organizations do just that—deepen biblical knowledge and apply biblical truth in every area of life.

Arizona Christian University Worldview Group Report
The Arizona Christian University Worldview Assessment is user-friendly. Once all participants have completed the assessment, pastors and leaders receive a detailed analysis of their congregation’s worldview. This includes a series of modules of the aggregated responses of the group and how they line up with five key categories used to determine worldview. The group’s responses are also compared to national norms, based on national survey results of adults who identify themselves as Christian.
The assessment measures beliefs and behavior in five categories that are key to determining worldview:
- Bible, Truth, Morals
- Faith Practices
- God, Creation, History
- Lifestyle, Behavior, Relationships
- Sin, Salvation, God Relationship
The worldviews identified in the assessment are:
- Biblical Theism (biblical worldview)
- Eastern Mysticism
- Marxism
- Moralistic Therapeutic Deism
- Nihilism
- Postmodernism
- Secular Humanism
- Syncretism
The assessment measures the Seven Cornerstones of the Biblical Worldview, which form the foundation of the biblical worldview:
- Biblically orthodox understanding of God’s existence and nature
- Acknowledged sinner, need a savior
- Jesus is the only way to salvation
- Absolute moral truth exists; God is the basis of all truth
- The Bible is the true and reliable words of God
- Success is consistent obedience to God
- Life’s purpose is to know, love, serve God with all heart, mind, strength, and soul
(If you don’t embrace all 7, there’s only a tiny chance of having a biblical worldview.)
